The car is on Spanish soil. Transport mode is removed, battery checked, and truck dispatch scheduled. Remaining time: approx. 6 to 9 business days.

What should you prepare while waiting for the ship?

2. Ask for the VIN (Chassis number)
As soon as the ship docks, ask your salesperson for the 17-digit VIN to arrange your insurance.

El concesionario dispone de una intranet interna donde cada pedido con número de bastidor (VIN) asignado tiene asociado el buque o la fecha estimada de llegada a puerto (ETA). Puedes pedirle a tu comercial que te confirme qué barco tiene asignada esa fecha.
Los barcos de transporte de coches navegan a velocidad de crucero eficiente (unos 15 nudos o 28 km/h). Debido a las restricciones del Mar Rojo, bordean el continente africano por el Cabo de Buena Esperanza, recorriendo más de 22.000 kilómetros hasta las costas españolas.
Los dos puertos principales de desembarque de BYD en España son el Puerto de Santander (para distribución a la zona norte, centro y oeste) y el Puerto de Barcelona / Autoterminal (para Cataluña, Levante y zona este).
El desembarque y despacho de aduanas tarda entre 3 y 5 días. Luego el coche pasa a la campa logística donde se realiza una primera inspección técnica, y de ahí se carga en un camión portacoches con destino a tu concesionario local (unos 3-7 días adicionales).
